Where Oceans Meet

Overview

It began as a simple European outpost. Today, it is an iconic city in South Africa.

No doubt, Cape Town has had a turbulent history. But that didn’t stop it from evolving into the vibrant city that it is today. With the Table Mountain in the backdrop, roaring blue waves of the sea, colorful neighborhoods and streets, Cape Town is picture-perfect.

Thanks to its rich history and geography, you will never run out of things to do in Cape Town.

If you like the waves, take a surfing lesson. If you are a wine connoisseur, the sprawling vineyards outside the city await. If you like history, Cape Town’s museums and Robben Island have many stories to tell you. If you are a nature lover, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are the place to be. And if you just like a great view, get on top of the iconic Table Mountain.

The Mother City will leave you amazed.

Day 02: Explore Cape Town

We begin the day with a scrumptious breakfast.

Today we explore the different faces of this spectacular city in the Cape Point Tour that goes around the Cape Peninsula.

We start with a visit to the pristine white beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay that have been awarded the Blue Flag status.

We then proceed to the ‘Republic of Hout Bay’ as the locals know it. Hout Bay is a small fishing village with a gorgeous beach, fresh seafood, bustling markets and numerous restaurants. We then take a boat trip to the Seal Island that is home to more than a thousand seals.

Next on the list is the famous Cape Point. Located at the tip of the Cape Peninsula, the Cape Point is where the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean meet. It is truly a breathtaking sight.

From one breathtaking sight to another, we head to Simon’s Town and Penguin Colony. We explore the sights of Simon’s Town, the seat of the South African Navy. We then say hello to the penguins of Boulders Beach. You can walk along with them or even take a swim with them if you like!

We then proceed to the quaint suburb of Kalk bay to visit antique shops, costume shops, bakeries and restaurants. You can also watch the majestic whales here during the whale-watching season (June to November).

We move on to Muizenberg, a popular surf spot. Here you can witness surfers from all over the world go along the waves of the beautiful blue sea.

A visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is the perfect way to end the day. This serene place located at the bottom of the Devil’s Peak Mountain is truly enchanting. Take a walk through the lush green forests in the popular Tree Canopy Walkway and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the flora.

We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.
