Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Moscow

Touchdown at Moscow International Airport and transfer to your hotel.

Upon arrival, check in to your room and settle in.

Day 02: Explore Moscow

We start the day with breakfast.

We begin with a guided tour of Moscow, which takes you through the grandeur of the Kremlin where you can see the treasures of the Tsars in the Armoury Chamber.  We also visit the Red Square which has an eclectic mix of fascinating architecture, such as the ornate St Basil’s Cathedral’s magnificent onion-domed spires, the socialist-realist style of the world-famous GUM Department store and the sombre site of Lenin’s tomb.

We then depart for Kazan in the Golden Eagle train.

 

Day 03: Explore Kazan

We start the day with breakfast.

We then head out to explore Kazan, which is situated on the River Volga and is the capital of Tatarstan.

Kazan is well known for its stunning mosque and perfect onion-domed cathedral.

Day 04: Kazan –Yekaterinburg

Today, post breakfast, we arrive in Yekaterinburg where the Romanov Royal Family was executed.

Here, you can visit the Europe/Asia boundary & stand with a foot on each continent.

Day 5:  Yekaterinburg – Novosibirsk

We start the day with breakfast and arrive in Novosibirsk.

We head out on a guided tour to explore the city of science and its unique Siberian architecture.

Day 06: Onboard

Today, we spend the day at leisure and relax on board.

Day 07: Explore Irkutsk

Post breakfast, we spend the day exploring Irkutsk, the ‘Paris of Siberia’ with its classic wooden architecture and the Decembrist House museum that is dedicated to the memory of the exiled aristocrats who were forced to flee to this remote outpost after the failed revolution of 1825.

We will also enjoy a private concert before returning to our train for dinner.

Day 08:  Explore Lake Baikal

We start the day with breakfast.

Today, we explore the deepest lake in the world, Lake Baikal, also known as the Pearl of Siberia. This Lake is known for a unique breed of freshwater seal.

In the evening, we can even enjoy a BBQ by the lake.

Day 09:  Explore Ulan Ude

Today, post breakfast, we head out to Ulan Ude, the capital of the Buryat Republic, to enjoy a concert featuring local dancers and musicians and learn about the culture and history of Russia.

Day 10: Explore Ulaan Baatar

We start the day with a hearty breakfast and head to Ulaan Baatar to explore a Buddhist Monastery, Gandan.

You may even be able to catch, the wonderful Naadam Festival.

 

Day 11,12,13:  Onboard

As the Golden Eagle snakes through the Russian countryside and cities, we spend the next 3 days on board as we relax and bask in luxury.

 

Day 14: Explore Vladivostok

Today, we arrive in Vladivostok and check into the hotel. This city was a military port that was closed to foreigners between 1930 and 1992. You have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 15:  Departure from Vladivostok

Today marks the end of your spectacular journey through Russia with the Golden Eagle.

Post breakfast, we say goodbye to Russia and head to the airport to catch our flight back home.

Terms & Conditions

  • Dress Code:   Day Wear – smart casual Evening Wear – suit and tie for men, evening dress for ladies.
  • Luggage:  Luggage is limited to 30 kilos per person for Pullman and State Compartment passengers. There is no limit for those passengers travelling in a Presidential Suite. Please keep your tickets, passports and any medication with you. Do not pack them in your through or compartment luggage.
  • Through luggage: We suggest that items not required for your journey are packed separately in sturdy baggage. At check-in this luggage will be labeled appropriately by our staff and will not normally be accessible until you reach your destination. Ideally, large and/or hard cases should be checked as through luggage.
  • Compartment luggage: This should contain clothing and items you need during your journey. When you plan your luggage, please bear in mind that storage space is limited. There is a luggage rack plus an additional storage cupboard with hangers. One or two soft sided suit carriers or similar can be comfortably accommodated in each compartment.
  • Hand luggage: Your passport, tickets, jewellery, money, camera, fragile items and any medication should not be checked in.

The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC.  Please read them carefully as they contain important information.  By asking us to confirm your booking, we assume that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to them. 
 
As an Agent, Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC arranges travel experiences and transportation with a large number of suppliers in the United Arab Emirates and around the world. These suppliers provide the following list of services.
 
·         Scheduled, Low Cost and Charter Airlines
 
·         Hotels, Villas, Apartments and Guesthouses
 
·         Package Holidays
 
·         Self-drive and chauffeur-driven car hire
 
·         Airport, Port and Resort Transfers
 
·         Luxury and Standard Rail Transportation
 
·         Ocean, Fjord and River Cruises plus Shore Excursions
 
·         Individual and Group Tours
 
·         Sightseeing and Attractions (including Theme and Water Parks)
 
·         Live Shows
 
·         Travel Insurance
 
·         UAE and International Visas
 
Each of these suppliers will have their own individual terms and conditions that will be explained to you prior to the booking being made. Copies are also available upon request.
 
BOOKINGS
 
A booking will only be made if the lead name in the booking is aged 18 years or older. The lead name assumes full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the travelling party accept the supplier’s terms and conditions. This person is also responsible for ensuring that all requested information is 100% correct. Failure to do so may result in the booking being rejected by any of the suppliers with no refund on any applicable cancellation charges. The information generally required includes the residency for each individual member of the party as well as the correct spelling of names, title, sex and age as per their passports.
 
PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
 
It is the responsibility of the lead name to provide current copies of all passports for the party and to notify us if any member of the party has a passport (or UAE residence visa if applicable) due to expire with  6 months of the arrival back in the UAE post-travel. You must check visa and health requirements prior to confirming your travel arrangements, including transit visas if your flight in not direct. If a booking is made and confirmed at any time prior to visas being granted, this is done at your own risk. Neither we nor our suppliers accept any responsibility for either denied boarding or denied entry to a country for any reason, not limited to non-compliance of passport, visa and health requirements.
 
We recommend that you contact your Doctor or Medical Centre for the latest inoculations and malaria medication. We strongly advise pregnant woman and young families to avoid countries where malaria is present.
 
A booking can only be made once the deposit or full payment has been received. All bookings made within 12 weeks of departure will be subject to full payment. All services are subject to availability at the time of booking, which may differ from the time of quotation. Prices are also subject to change and cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and the booking confirmed. For air travel, this means tickets issued. For hotel bookings, this means accommodation vouchers issued. It is important that all vouchers are read carefully for additional supplier information.
 
PRICING
 
We offer you the flexibility to create your own holiday from the range of accommodation, airlines and other services available. Because of this wide choice, it is not possible to list every price on every date. A ‘from’ price is indicative of the lowest price available for the hotel or itinerary featured but this may vary depending on a number of factors such as your date of travel, number of people sharing a room, choice of accommodation and airline availability.
 
The rates at some hotels may vary depending on your residency and therefore it is important that you confirm the residency and nationality of everyone travelling at the time of quotation.
 
All prices are subject to availability and final confirmation from the supplier. Certain airlines permit us as their agent to hold reservations for a certain amount of time without tickets being issued. It is important to note that in these instances, the fares are only guaranteed until 2359 that day and we are not liable in the event of an increase. We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
 
All flight timings are provisional and subject to change. However you will be advised in advance of any major change as per your supplier's booking conditions. Only in extreme cases will an airline offer a full refund or date change should you not accept the change. On occasions your supplier may find it necessary to alter your any aspect of your holiday. Their policy regarding alterations is set out in their booking conditions.
 
Should you find it necessary to cancel or amend your holiday, please contact us without delay. Cancellations and amendments require written confirmation by the lead name in the party. Prior to making any changes, please verify any charges bearing in mind that these generally increase the closer you get to departure. In most cases, late cancellation will result in 100% charges.
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE
 
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance as protection against financial costs or losses in connection with medical treatment and travel inconvenience i.e. cancellation or curtailment and delay, damage or loss of baggage/personal effects.
 
GOVERNING LAW
 
Any matters that arise between you and us are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also conditional on your agreement that any dispute that arises between you and us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai, except that we also we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms and conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.

Cancellation Policy

You or any member of your party may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the lead passenger must be sent by email to holidays@al-majid.com. For urgent cancellations, please ALSO telephone 04 2222007 or 2212213.
 
In the event of cancellation, there will be supplier charges that you will have to pay ranging from 10% to 100%, and these will be explained to you prior to booking. We encourage you to take out travel insurance, which may cover some or all of the charges depending on the nature of the cancellation.
 
Should you fail to cancel your booking in advance you may also incur a no-show fee in addition to any other supplier imposed charges.
