DMZ Half day tour
Stop first in Imjingak, a park with war artifacts and artillery from the Korean conflict. Continue to the Freedom Bridge, where nearly 13,000 Korean POWs were exchanged at the end of the war. Next up, see the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, believed to have been built by North Korea for a military invasion. Discovered in 1978, the tunnel was blocked by the South Koreans at the border’s military demarcation line. Afterward, check out artifacts and photographs from the Korean War at the DMZ Museum. Continue by coach to the Dora Observatory, where you can use provided binoculars to scope out North Korea. Observe a North Korean model village called Kijongdong as your guide explains the backstory of this surreal border region. Your final destination is Dorasan Station, a train station that once connected North and South Korea and today carries symbolic significance, which your guide details as you take in the site. Wrap up your visit to the DMZ by passing the Unification Village, a small farming community that models the daily life of a typical South Korean farm community. If you choose the half-day tour only, you are returned to your hotel in Seoul after a brief stop at a ginseng center en rout. You will be dropped off at Itaewon street where you can enjoy your time. Back to your hotel on your own by taxi or other public transportation.

Fly to Jeju Airport and meet your tour guide at Jeju Airport (upon exiting customs) around 10:00am and then head out to Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head Rock). Admire the majestic rock formations and deep-blue waters. Continue to Halla Arboretum to see 909 kinds of native trees and subtropical plants and you can meet the four-season flower forest, colorful forests, and the beautiful seasons of Mother Nature. Stop for lunch at local restaurant. And then, move to enjoy a variety of performances with Korean classical music, EL dance and B-boy, can take pictures with them. Continue to the Yakchunsa Temple which is the greatest and largest in the East and serves 30 thousand Buddha statues in it. Check in hotel.

Continue to the Gyulimseong tangerine farm Stop for lunch at the local restaurant. Visit Spirited Garden, recognized as the most beautiful garden in the world. Take a walk “Olle” a narrow pathway. Complete the day with a walk along the shores of Yongmeori Beach visit Sangbanggulsa cave instead. Dinner on your own and transfer to hotel.

Visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, World Heritage designated by UNESCO. Next, step back in time as you explore the Seongeup Folk Village, renowned for perfectly preserving Korean traditions. This village also boasts many cultural landmarks, such as Confucian shrines and schools, millstones, and more. Have a lunch at local restaurant. If time is available, visit the Museum of Natural History – to have an opportunity to experience and learn about the environment and shows how to preserve the earth’s natural beauty. Stop by Korean Jewelry Amethyst and local product store. Transfer back to Jeju Airport and Fly to your next destination, Busan (Gimhae airport), the 2nd largest city in Korea. After meeting with guide, transfer to your hotel.

Move to Gyeongju, a museum without walls. In 57 BC, around when Julius Caesar was subduing Gaul, it became the capital of the Shilla Dynasty and remained so for about 1000 years. Gyeongju preserves a vast amount of significant and fascinating historical heritage. Along with Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, its historical district has been designated as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Gyeongju National Museum, and Cheomgseongdae Astronomical Observatory, Seokguram Grotto (UNESCO world heritage) - an artificial stone temple made of granites, located on the eastern peak of Mt. Toham. Inside the round-shaped main hall, there are the Bonjon Statue, Bodhi-Sattava and his disciples. It was built to preserve these statues. Bulguksa Temple (UNESCO world heritage) – The beauty of the temple itself and artistic touch of the stone relics are as awesome and fascinating as to be highly praised by visitors from all over the world. Move to Daegu city for overnight which is a largest and central city of this province. Check in at Hotel and take rest.

After breakfast Check-out, move to Haeinsa Temple located in Gayasan National Park. Haeinsa Temple was founded by King Ae-Jang of Shilla Dynasty well known for its famous treasure “ Tripitaka Koreana ”(UNESCO world heritage) composed of 81,341 printing woodblocks made to repulse the Mongolian Army Invasion with support of Buddha. And then transfer to Andong Hahoe Village which has preserved the housing architecture and the village structure of the Joseon Dynasty. Moreover, the Village was not artificially created; there are people who actually live there. The Hahoe Village has become world-famous for the visit of The Queen Elizabeth II of Britain several years ago. And then transfer to Sokcho, a port of fishing boats and commercial ships. Check in at hotel located close to Sokcho seashore.

Move to Seoraksan National Park of which the peaks break through the clouds while jade-like water flows through the valleys, creating breathtaking views and making this Korea’s most famous national park. UNESCO designated this park a Biosphere Preservation District in 1982 due to so many rare species found here. Visit Sinheungsa-temple located in Mt.Seorak which is an ancient temple with deep historical significance, built by a great monk Jajangyulsa Gwongeumseong is a site of castle ruins located on the steep Dol Mountain of Seoraksan National Park area. After sightseeing of Seoraksan National Park, move to Seoul. Our tour will finish at Express Terminal, Gangnam, Seoul around 18:00 hours.
