Into the Wild

Overview

The mere thought of Kenya conjures up images of wild animals running across the savannas, golden sunsets and vibrant African tribes who live in close harmony with nature.

Kenya is exactly like that. And more.

In Kenya, there is history and pre-history. How fascinating is it to know that this country is where our ancestors came from! The Great Rift Valley, running from the north to the south of Kenya is known as the cradle of human civilisation.  This former British colony also has riveting stories from its struggle for independence and has come a long way since.

While Kenya is one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife destinations with several national parks and game reserves, it is also home to cosmopolitan cities like Nairobi that are gradually becoming commercial epicentres of Kenya. The glistening coastlines offer gorgeous beaches where you can swim, surf, snorkel, dive, explore corals or simply relax.

As you explore this beautiful country and its simple people, you will feel one with nature.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Nairobi

Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi. You will be received by our on-ground travel coordinator and transferred to your hotel.

Today, we explore the bustling city of Nairobi, the Green City in the Sun. Nairobi is high on energy and commerce and is constantly evolving as a cosmopolitan city. The people are warm, ambitious and enterprising.

Our first interaction with wildlife in Kenya begins at the Giraffe Centre, where you can interact with and feed these beautiful creatures.

Overnight stay at the luxurious Hilton Nairobi Hotel.

Day 02: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve

We start the day with a hearty breakfast and then commence a 6-hour road trip to the spectacular Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive to Maasai Mara albeit long, is rewarding with a scenic view of the savannas dotted with wildlife.

Maasai Mara is the northern extension of Serengeti and is one of the best game viewing areas in the world. This vast expanse of grasslands is home to numerous species of animals. Everything you have ever read or seen about African wildlife comes alive at the Maasai Mara.

We arrive at the Maasai Mara National Reserve by afternoon. We check in to the lodge and have a hot lunch.

Post lunch, it is time for an exciting game viewing drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Be ready to spot to a diverse range of animals right from majestic lions, cheetahs, leopards to families of elephants traversing the savannas to hundreds of migratory birds. There is nothing more breathtaking in the world than seeing these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat.

Dinner and overnight stay at the cozy Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 3: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve

We start the day with a hearty breakfast.

Today, you can explore more of the Maasai Mara National Reserve with morning and evening game viewing drives with lunch at the lodge.

Alternatively, you can enjoy a full day of game viewing drive with a picnic lunch and return to the lodge by sunset.

You can also meet the tribes of the Maasai village, interact with them, learn about their simple lifestyle and culture and even learn their traditional dance.*

Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the cozy Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 04: Depart from Nairobi

Post a hearty breakfast, check out of the lodge.

We commence our road trip back to Nairobi for a direct transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your flight back home.

The rates at some hotels may vary depending on your residency and therefore it is important that you confirm the residency and nationality of everyone travelling at the time of quotation.

We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.
