In the Shadow of the Andes

Overview

South America does not do polished. It is not fancy, plush and over-the-top like some of its counterparts.  South America is rugged, raw and unplugged and that’s what makes it so intriguing and spectacular at the same time.

As you go along the Andean mountain range, exploring some of the most captivating locales of South America, you realize that this continent is nothing short of extraordinary.

Nature orchestrates the most breathtaking landscapes across the continent and leaves you with a flurry of emotions. When you witness infinity at the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, walk through the ancient Inca citadel in Machu Pichu or go kayaking in the fjords of Patagonia, you are overcome with a feeling of awe and fascination.

The evolving cityscapes are playgrounds for exuberant culture, architecture and a thriving gastronomical scene.  Whether it is Lima in Peru, La Paz in Bolivia or Santiago in Chile, exploring the cities of South America is an adventure in itself.

The more you explore South America, the more acquainted you are with the warm, hospitable and generous nature of the South American people. At the drop of a hat, they will cook you an incredible South American meal that would top any Michelin star restaurant experience.

Without a doubt, South America is rough around the edges. It is still on the brink of development. But, as you experience its diverse landscapes, become a part of its vibrant culture, understand its history and get a taste of its amazing cuisine, you realise that South America is rich in its own way.
