Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival - Luang Prabang-Buddha Cave (By boat)
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang has been claimed by UNESCO to be ‘the best preserved city in South East Asia’. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside. (2-hour boat cruise up stream) visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. En route, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local specialty of rice wine is produced. We then return to Luang Prabang by car We have also the option to visit the weaving textile and Sa paper making villages of Ban Xangkhongand Ban Xienglek. We arrive back in Luang Prabang by late afternoon. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
 
 
 
Day 02
Luang Prabang –  Kuang Si Waterfall
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning ritual lof saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms from the faithful residents. This procession is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the tradition. Afterwards, we have the option of visiting the local morning market, before returning to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we visit the Royal Palace Museum which hosts a range of interesting artifacts (open daily). We also stop at Ock Pop Tock, a silk weaving center. Here you will be given a guided tour and the silk weaving process will be explained. Next we drive to We then continue to Kuang Si Waterfall, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the beautiful multi- tiered falls. You also have the opportunity to cool off in the turquoise blue pools. Afterwards we return to Luangprabang continue visit Wat Xiengthong, with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, representing the classical Luang Prabang style afternoon stretching your legs climb Mount Phousi, which offers a spectacular sunset and a panoramic view over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River. Afterwards, strolling through the night market (open between 5pm-10pm) setting in downtown selling a large variety of local textiles and ethnic handicrafts. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
 
 
 
Day 03
Luang Prabang – Xiengkhuang (Road)
We start early this morning, around 8am for the drive to Xiengkhuang, famous for the ‘Plain of Jars’. The road follows a twisty mountain route, and we make our first stop at Houi Hei, which offers great views of the surrounding mountains. We then continue Ban Kiu Marknao 2, a Khmu village to explore, before arriving in Phou Khoun for lunch. We continue on the road into Xiengkhuang province, reaching our highest altitude of the day 1500m above sea level, just after Phou Khoun. We have time to make a stop at Ban Son Boom, a Hmong village. Our final stops of the day are a reminder that this region played a major part during the Vietnam War – as we visit a hidden Buddha Cave, that served as an army hospital during the war. We arrive at your hotel by early evening. if time permit visits the Mines Action Group (MAG) office. (The road journey today takes approximately 7-8hours including stops on the way). Overnight in Xiengkhuang.
 
 
 
Day 04
Xiengkhouang – Vientiane (Flight)
After breakfast transfer out to visit Jar Site 1 and site 2located on top of a hill offering great views of the surrounding countryside. Then driving out to the ancient town of Muang Khoun, the former provincial capital, where you can explore the ruins of a number of ancient pagodas in the Lanna style and Wat Phiawat, a ruined temple containing a huge sitting Buddha. We return back to Phonsavan town, and going on to the airport for your flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Vientiane.
 
 
Day 05
Vientiane – Half day city tour
Your half day city tour, begin with the oldest, Wat Sisaketwith thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. En-route to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Wat Si Muang, site of the lak meuang (pillar-stone) of Vientiane, Si Muang temple is home to the guardian spirit of the statues. You have the option to visit NGO COPE exhibition center, highlighting a much overlooked aspect of Laos and a major problem many of the local people face on a day to day basis in the form of unexploded ordnance as a result of heavy bombing campaigns during the Vietnam War era. Overnight in Vientiane.
 
 
Day 06
Vientiane – Luang Prabang (Flight) - Departure Dubai
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfered to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang followed by your departure flight to Dubai.

The following terms and conditions form the basis of your contract with Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC.  Please read them carefully as they contain important information.  By asking us to confirm your booking, we assume that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to them. 
 
As an Agent, Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC arranges travel experiences and transportation with a large number of suppliers in the United Arab Emirates and around the world. These suppliers provide the following list of services.
 
·         Scheduled, Low Cost and Charter Airlines
 
·         Hotels, Villas, Apartments and Guesthouses
 
·         Package Holidays
 
·         Self-drive and chauffeur-driven car hire
 
·         Airport, Port and Resort Transfers
 
·         Luxury and Standard Rail Transportation
 
·         Ocean, Fjord and River Cruises plus Shore Excursions
 
·         Individual and Group Tours
 
·         Sightseeing and Attractions (including Theme and Water Parks)
 
·         Live Shows
 
·         Travel Insurance
 
·         UAE and International Visas
 
Each of these suppliers will have their own individual terms and conditions that will be explained to you prior to the booking being made. Copies are also available upon request.
 
BOOKINGS
 
A booking will only be made if the lead name in the booking is aged 18 years or older. The lead name assumes full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the travelling party accept the supplier’s terms and conditions. This person is also responsible for ensuring that all requested information is 100% correct. Failure to do so may result in the booking being rejected by any of the suppliers with no refund on any applicable cancellation charges. The information generally required includes the residency for each individual member of the party as well as the correct spelling of names, title, sex and age as per their passports.
 
PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
 
It is the responsibility of the lead name to provide current copies of all passports for the party and to notify us if any member of the party has a passport (or UAE residence visa if applicable) due to expire with  6 months of the arrival back in the UAE post-travel. You must check visa and health requirements prior to confirming your travel arrangements, including transit visas if your flight in not direct. If a booking is made and confirmed at any time prior to visas being granted, this is done at your own risk. Neither we nor our suppliers accept any responsibility for either denied boarding or denied entry to a country for any reason, not limited to non-compliance of passport, visa and health requirements.
 
We recommend that you contact your Doctor or Medical Centre for the latest inoculations and malaria medication. We strongly advise pregnant woman and young families to avoid countries where malaria is present.
 
A booking can only be made once the deposit or full payment has been received. All bookings made within 12 weeks of departure will be subject to full payment. All services are subject to availability at the time of booking, which may differ from the time of quotation. Prices are also subject to change and cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and the booking confirmed. For air travel, this means tickets issued. For hotel bookings, this means accommodation vouchers issued. It is important that all vouchers are read carefully for additional supplier information.
 
PRICING
 
We offer you the flexibility to create your own holiday from the range of accommodation, airlines and other services available. Because of this wide choice, it is not possible to list every price on every date. A ‘from’ price is indicative of the lowest price available for the hotel or itinerary featured but this may vary depending on a number of factors such as your date of travel, number of people sharing a room, choice of accommodation and airline availability.
 
The rates at some hotels may vary depending on your residency and therefore it is important that you confirm the residency and nationality of everyone travelling at the time of quotation.
 
All prices are subject to availability and final confirmation from the supplier. Certain airlines permit us as their agent to hold reservations for a certain amount of time without tickets being issued. It is important to note that in these instances, the fares are only guaranteed until 2359 that day and we are not liable in the event of an increase. We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
 
All flight timings are provisional and subject to change. However you will be advised in advance of any major change as per your supplier's booking conditions. Only in extreme cases will an airline offer a full refund or date change should you not accept the change. On occasions your supplier may find it necessary to alter your any aspect of your holiday. Their policy regarding alterations is set out in their booking conditions.
 
Should you find it necessary to cancel or amend your holiday, please contact us without delay. Cancellations and amendments require written confirmation by the lead name in the party. Prior to making any changes, please verify any charges bearing in mind that these generally increase the closer you get to departure. In most cases, late cancellation will result in 100% charges.
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE
 
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance as protection against financial costs or losses in connection with medical treatment and travel inconvenience i.e. cancellation or curtailment and delay, damage or loss of baggage/personal effects.
 
GOVERNING LAW
 
Any matters that arise between you and us are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also conditional on your agreement that any dispute that arises between you and us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai, except that we also we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms and conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.
