Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Taipei

Touchdown at Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei. Our on-ground coordinator will receive you and transfer you to your hotel.

Upon check-in, you have the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the comfortable 3-star Hotel Gala.

 

Day 02: Explore Taipei

Sitting at the foothills of Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range, 762 meters above sea level is the mesmerizing Sun Moon Lake. The azure waters, majestic mountains and pleasant breeze have an instant calming effect on you. You can sit back and relax by the lake or go for a refreshing boat ride.

On the banks of the lake is the age-old Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple. It is dedicated to deities like the God of Literature, Confucius, Yue Fei and Guan Yu.

Next on the list is the ornate Holy Monk Shrine and the magnificent Cien Pagoda.

Once we have explored the Sun Moon Lake and its surrounding landmarks, we head to the luxurious Fleur de Chine Hotel overlooking the lake. Check in to the hotel and settle in.

At the hotel, you can relax in the soothing natural hot spring and rejuvenate yourself. You can also enjoy the walking trails, biking, hiking or boating at the lake.

Overnight stay at the luxurious 5-star Hotel Fleur De Chine – Mountain View Room.

 

Day 03: Explore Alishan| Chiayi

Today, post a delicious breakfast, we check out of the hotel and set off to Alishan.

We will pass the New Central Cross Island Highway and the Yushan National Park. Our first stop is at the Tataka Visitors Center where we will enjoy a stunning view of the Yushan National Park.

We then move on to Alishan National Scenic Area which is 415 sq kilometres of enchanting wilderness. Majestic mountains, lush green valleys, aboriginal villages and tea plantations make Alishan one of the most spectacular sights in Taiwan. As we tour this area, we will visit Sisters Ponds, Shou-Chen Temple and the Fallen Giant Sacred Tree. We will also experience the Alishan Forest Alpine train.

After an eventful day at Alishan, we drive to Chiayi and upon arrival, we will check in to the luxurious Nice Prince Hotel. Overnight stay at the luxurious 5-star Nice Prince Hotel.

 

Day 04: Explore Chiayi| Transfer to Taipei

In the morning, we head out for a visit to the unique Southern Branch of National Palace Museum. Through its exhibitions and displays, the museum tries to achieve cultural equity between the northern and the southern regions of Taiwan.

In the afternoon, we drive to Taipei. Upon arrival in Taipei, we will check in to the Hotel.

Overnight stay at the comfortable 3-star Hotel Gala.

 

Day 05: Excursion to Taroko Gorge (National Park)

Today, we will be exploring one of the most breathtaking sights in Taiwan. So gear up, grab an early breakfast and head to Taroko Gorge National Park.

From the hotel, you will be transferred to Taipei Railway Station to catch a train to Hualien. Upon arrival in Hualien which is the gateway to Taroko Gorge, we hop onto a bus that takes us to the National Park. As you get closer to the National Park, you are greeted by refreshing views of greenery, magnificent mountains and beautiful skies. Taroko Gorge National Park inspires awe and excitement with its enchanted forests, roaring waterfalls, spectacular marble rocks and gorges. This National Park is 92,000 hectares of pure nature and it lives up to the meaning of Taroko – magnificent and beautiful.

We will spend the day exploring the highlights of the park. First on the list is the picturesque Eternal Spring Shrine that was built in memory of the workers who died during the construction of a nearby highway. Next, we visit Swallow Caves to learn about the fascinating stories behind this landmark.

We will then take a break at the Tienhsiang Lodge. Once we are refreshed, we head to the Marble Factory followed by a visit to the Chi Hsing Beach. Unlike any other typical beach, Chi Hsing does not have golden sand but the clear blue waters and sunny skies make for a picture-perfect view.

We end the tour with a visit to the Hualien Stone Sculptural Park that is home to an array of masterpieces carved from stone.

After an eventful day, we head back to the station and hop onto a train back to Taipei. Overnight stay at the comfortable 3-star Hotel Gala.

 

Day 06: Explore Taipei

We have an exciting day ahead. So, we grab a bite in the morning and head out for a day tour. Dotted with spectacular landmarks, the lively capital city of Taipei gracefully balances ancient and modern. We begin the city tour with a visit to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, built to honour Taiwan’s first President. We will then pass by the Presidential Square and head to the Martyr’s Shrine that honours Chinese war heroes.

Next on the list is the National Palace Museum, a treasure trove of over 7, 00,000 pieces of Chinese imperial artifacts and artworks.To add a hint of spirituality, we will visit a local Taiwanese Temple that gives us a glimpse of the religious rituals and traditions of Taiwan.

We end the tour with a visit to a local Handicraft Centre that is home to works of art from different parts of Taiwan. In the afternoon, we set off to explore the serene Northeast Coast of Taiwan. Our first stop is the quaint and colourful Jiufen Village. On a walking tour of this charming village, we will explore the sights, sounds and stories of Jiufen.

We will then pass by the Jinguashi Village and head to Bitou Cape. Here you can take in the incredible view of the cliffs and the vast blue sea.We end the day with a visit to Nanya Rock Formations and watch the rocks bathe in the golden sunset.We will then head back to Taipei. On the way, we will pass by the Yin Yang Sea, also known as the Bay of Two Colours.

Day 07: Departure from Taipei            

With a heavy heart, we bid farewell to Taiwan today.

Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.

As an Agent, Al Majid Travel & Tourism LLC arranges travel experiences and transportation with a large number of suppliers in the United Arab Emirates and around the world. These suppliers provide the following list of services.

·         Self-drive and chauffeur-driven car hire

BOOKINGS
 
A booking will only be made if the lead name in the booking is aged 18 years or older. The lead name assumes full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the travelling party accept the supplier’s terms and conditions. This person is also responsible for ensuring that all requested information is 100% correct. Failure to do so may result in the booking being rejected by any of the suppliers with no refund on any applicable cancellation charges. The information generally required includes the residency for each individual member of the party as well as the correct spelling of names, title, sex and age as per their passports.
 
PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
 
It is the responsibility of the lead name to provide current copies of all passports for the party and to notify us if any member of the party has a passport (or UAE residence visa if applicable) due to expire with  6 months of the arrival back in the UAE post-travel. You must check visa and health requirements prior to confirming your travel arrangements, including transit visas if your flight in not direct. If a booking is made and confirmed at any time prior to visas being granted, this is done at your own risk. Neither we nor our suppliers accept any responsibility for either denied boarding or denied entry to a country for any reason, not limited to non-compliance of passport, visa and health requirements.
 
We recommend that you contact your Doctor or Medical Centre for the latest inoculations and malaria medication. We strongly advise pregnant woman and young families to avoid countries where malaria is present.
 
A booking can only be made once the deposit or full payment has been received. All bookings made within 12 weeks of departure will be subject to full payment. All services are subject to availability at the time of booking, which may differ from the time of quotation. Prices are also subject to change and cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received and the booking confirmed. For air travel, this means tickets issued. For hotel bookings, this means accommodation vouchers issued. It is important that all vouchers are read carefully for additional supplier information.
 
PRICING
 
We offer you the flexibility to create your own holiday from the range of accommodation, airlines and other services available. Because of this wide choice, it is not possible to list every price on every date. A ‘from’ price is indicative of the lowest price available for the hotel or itinerary featured but this may vary depending on a number of factors such as your date of travel, number of people sharing a room, choice of accommodation and airline availability.
 
The rates at some hotels may vary depending on your residency and therefore it is important that you confirm the residency and nationality of everyone travelling at the time of quotation.
 
All prices are subject to availability and final confirmation from the supplier. Certain airlines permit us as their agent to hold reservations for a certain amount of time without tickets being issued. It is important to note that in these instances, the fares are only guaranteed until 2359 that day and we are not liable in the event of an increase. We, therefore, recommend that tickets are issued on the same day as the reservation. Some airports charge a departure tax, which is payable locally. These charges may not be claimed back from us.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
 
All flight timings are provisional and subject to change. However you will be advised in advance of any major change as per your supplier's booking conditions. Only in extreme cases will an airline offer a full refund or date change should you not accept the change. On occasions your supplier may find it necessary to alter your any aspect of your holiday. Their policy regarding alterations is set out in their booking conditions.
 
Should you find it necessary to cancel or amend your holiday, please contact us without delay. Cancellations and amendments require written confirmation by the lead name in the party. Prior to making any changes, please verify any charges bearing in mind that these generally increase the closer you get to departure. In most cases, late cancellation will result in 100% charges.
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE
 
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance as protection against financial costs or losses in connection with medical treatment and travel inconvenience i.e. cancellation or curtailment and delay, damage or loss of baggage/personal effects.
 
GOVERNING LAW
 
Any matters that arise between you and us are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also conditional on your agreement that any dispute that arises between you and us will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai, except that we also we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms and conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country.

Cancellation Policy

You or any member of your party may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification from the lead passenger must be sent by email to holidays@al-majid.com. For urgent cancellations, please ALSO telephone 04 2222007 or 2212213.
 
In the event of cancellation, there will be supplier charges that you will have to pay ranging from 10% to 100%, and these will be explained to you prior to booking. We encourage you to take out travel insurance, which may cover some or all of the charges depending on the nature of the cancellation.
 
Should you fail to cancel your booking in advance you may also incur a no-show fee in addition to any other supplier imposed charges.
